The members of the speleological expedition have found a Fire Cave in the mountains of the Kabardino
The Fire Cave was named so because sulfur and saltpeter — components for making gunpowder — were once discovered there. In the post-war years, this cave was part of the route of the weekend trip for several tourist bases in Nalchik, but it became disused in the 90s of the last century and tourists no longer were lead there. The expedition left to find this forgotten sight in early January.
According to local experts, the cave is safe, and it will be possible to guide tourists there with minimal equipment.
