«In total, two possible landing sites were chosen using the engineering and scientific data: primary area located to the north of the southern polar Boguslavsky crater (about 69.5 degrees south latitude and 43.5 degrees east longitude), and the reserve area to the south of crater Mancini (about 68.8 degrees south latitude and 21.2 degrees east longitude). The delay of landing if the reserve area is used, compared with landing in the main one, would be about two days», the Institute announced.

Crater Boguslavsky, which was used as a model for computer test runs of the landing, was not included in the list of favourable sites, the press centre specified.
