«Saratov scientists have developed a special simulator for students, a virtual otoscopy system (otoscopy is a method of diagnosing ear diseases) .The virtual simulator not only creates a realistic and high-quality image of the eardrum, but also shows various changes in the ear caused by various diseases. The virtual examination resembles the real one very closely and it allows students to use different tools,» Komarov said.

The system can also ask the student a question, receive an answer and automatically assess its correctness, Komarov explained.
