«Oncolytic viruses based on the vaccinia virus have proved very effective in animals. [Also] there is a completely original genetically engineered drug based on the protein [of breast milk] - lactaptin, which is capable of suppressing the development of certain tumours and metastases. We are now developing a combination version, which involves vaccinia virus producing protein on top of that. We have plans to give this virus additional weapons for the destruction of cancer cells,» said Vlasov.
