Supersensitive sensor for detecting fire by the composition of the air invented in Skolkovo

The resident company of the Skolkovo Foundation have developed an ultrasensitive sensor which could detect fire by air composition in just 30 seconds, said Maxim Somov, the founder of the 'SOMOV Konstruktorskoe Byuro' (SOMOV Design Bureau). The developers tested the touch sensor 'Graviton Multi Sensor' in the territory of the Technopark 'Skolkovo'.

"The multi-criteria fire detector and alerter 'Graviton Multi Sensor' is different in that it analyses dynamics of changes in the composition of the air instead of the threshold values of concentration of gases released during combustion. In our case, the sensor went off half a minute after we set fire to five A4 sheets in the room of volume of 10 thousand cubic metres," Somov said
