Russian and Israeli scientists have created an AI to treat arrhythmia

Members of the National Research Medical Center named after academician E. N. Meshalkin (Meshalkin Clinic), Novosibirsk, Russia, and the EP Dynamics Laboratory, Israel, have developed an artificial intelligence capable of accurate diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm disorders.

The machine gave a better prognosis than the scientists at the end of 2017, the researches say. The development will make it possible to suggest corrections to a surgeon during an operation and also help to increase significantly the effectiveness of treatment of heart diseases such as atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachyarrhythmia. The developed artificial intelligence is expected to become a commercial product in the future.
