The dinosaur lived in Siberia in the early Cretaceous period — about 120 million years ago. It was one of the most ancient titanosaurs, whose remains has been found in Asia.

Sibirotitan belongs to the group of sauropods — giant four-legged herbivorous dinosaurs. It weighted up to 10 tons and it could grow up to 12 meters.

In the course of several years scientists have been able to find the vertebrae, the sacrum and the teeth of siberotitanium. The sacrum of the raptor reaches 0.5 m in length and has a curious «starlike» shape — the ribs diverge from it, forming a star. It was because of the unusual shape of the sacrum that sibirototane was called astrosacralis: from the lat. astro — «star», sacrum — well, just «sacrum».
