«The IMTP should become one of the foundations of the REC in the Far East. We have observed that in the early 2000s the Institute received special attention from the state, received funding, was well equipped and it was clear that it was needed to solve very serious tasks facing the country. The developments that are being created at the institute remain at the highest international level, and the orders that the Institute receives from abroad are evidence of this,» Sergeyev told journalists after visiting the IMTP.

IPMT develops unique autonomous robotic underwater vehicles, based on artificial intelligence, which will make it possible to conduct scientific research of the seas and oceans at a depth of up to six thousand metres and carry out search and rescue operations.
