«44 applications were submitted for the grant competition of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research (RFBR) and the Government of YNAD, and of these grants eight scientific projects will be implemented in Yamal in 2018. For example, an analysis of strontium isotopes in reindeer bone remains found at the archaeological site Ust-Poluy will be conducted. The results can shed some light on the migration of animals and place of their birth,» says the statement.
