«The software solution will allow predicting such phenomena as landslides, destruction of shores, flooding of settlements. The results can be used to carry out routine preventive works and take operational measures in the event of emergency. The software solution will become fully operational at the end of 2019,» the press service reported.

«The joint software solution is a kind of a neural network. Its capabilities are not just high, they are constantly increasing as information is accumulated. We intend to use the product together with our geoportal, which was developed in the interests of the administration of the Tomsk region and is used by regional emergency response services to prevent emergencies in dangerous periods, for example, during the spring high water,» Vladimir Khromykh, an expert from TSU, is quoted by the press service as saying.
