Alexei Kontorovich, an academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, emphasised the problem of low of post-graduate scholarships at the forum 'Tekhnoprom'. He said that a post-graduate scholarships are far below an average salary of an employee in any industry. It is his opinion, concerning the matter, that people who do not have the appropriate level of knowledge «will soon teach in Moscow, Novosibirsk, and other leading universities».

«We do understand the problem of postgraduate study, its format is being discussed with various universities, departments of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and industry. Presumably, there will be a grant given within the framework of the national project 'Science' during postgraduate studies for a scientific project designed for four to five years. The student would have to defend their thesis at the end of the project. The volume of a 'scholarship' will be comparable with the average salary in a given region, and thus postgraduate studies would become a prestigious and competitive activity,» Trubnikov said.
