According to Inga Bysykatova, a researcher at the Zoological Research Laboratory at the Institute, scientists will travel to the northeast of Yakutia to study the timing, intensity, direction and front lines of the seasonal migrations of the Canadian and Siberian Crane as well as the birds stopping points.

The results of the study will help protect rare species that are changing their migration strategy due to global climate change, the scientist explained.
