Tomsk scientists will deal with investigations of myths of video games
In the course of studies, the researchers are going to analyze the changes in the characters of central figures, monomyths, archetypes, elements of ancient mythologies which consciously or unconsciously used by video games developers. The primary objective of the study is the new approach to gamification which could assist in creating educative games.
«Video games should not be considered from the viewpoint of the traditional stereotype that these are only amusement, dawdle. In fact, this is not the case. Video games have many elements which can educate, increase the motivation, improve psychoemotional state,» - the research assistant at TPU Ekaterina Galinina commented.
