«We are currently collaborating with the Institute for Biology of Inland Waters based in the village of Borok in Yaroslavl Region. We are trying to determine the optimal level of mineralisation of water or, simply put, the maximum allowable concentration of salt in water in which whitefishes are growing,» Eltekov said.

The aim of the project is to restore the population of endangered fish species and develop a better technology for achieving this, Eltekov noted.
