Children studying at the Krasnoyarsk «Kvantorium» have invented a drone to monitor air pollution

Students at the children’s centre Kvantorium in Krasnoyarsk invented an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) for the analysis of atmospheric air pollution. The Ministry of Education of the region announced this on Thursday.

«Young technicians from the Krasnoyarsk Kvantorium have invented a drone to monitor air pollution. The device is a multi-rotor platform on which a gas analyser is installed which is capable of determining the air composition by a number of parameters. The degree of concentration of toxic substances indicates the source of pollution,» says the report. UAV is equipped with special equipment and is capable of flying at a height of up to 200 meters.
