Tests of the Belarusian electric articulated bus have begun in Tambov
Test service of the Belarusian electric articulated bus E433 VITOVT MAX ELECTRO has begun in Tambov. It is comparable with the trolleybus by the noise it makes yet it does not require wires and does not have the problem of «horns slipping off». The city authorities are ready to order these electric buses in large quantities, provided that the new vehicle proves to be practical enough public transport, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reports.
The Belarusian trolleybus uses not batteries, but supercapacitors as a power storage device. One charge is enough for 12 km only, but it only takes one or two minutes to recharge. The speed of the trolleybus is limited to 60 km / h, the capacity is 153 people, the cabin has air conditioning, Wi-Fi and there are USB ports available.
