«We have developed a domestic hybrid aortic prosthesis that will be three to four times cheaper than foreign counterparts. One of the advantages is that the materials of the prosthesis prevent blood from passing through them, which helps avoid bleeding. Preliminary estimates show that the graft will be three to four times cheaper than existing prostheses, which will make it possible to perform operations on a larger number of patients,» Lyashenko said. Currently the cost of a similar imported prosthesis could reach € 15 000, Lyashenko pointer out.
